  • Newspapers.com Library Edition –  provides online access to nearly 20,000 historical newspapers.  It offers full-page images with searchable full text for millions of pages of newspapers dating from the early 1700s into the early 2000s.  It contains full runs and portions of runs of large metro, regional and state titles as well as small local newspapers in the USA and other countries.
  • American Ancestors (New England Historic Genealogical Society) – Don’t miss this site if you are interested in New England records. Search over 300 databases, including vital records, tax and voter lists, Bible records, court, land, and probate records, maps, and more.
  • Ancestry – The vast resources of Ancestry include, but are not limited to, birth, marriage, death, immigration, and military records, as well as the U.S. census 1790-1940, city directories, and African-American and Jewish family history collections.
  • Fold3 – Fold3 specializes in original military records, from the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Civil War, World Wars I and II, and more recent wars. ​
  • New York Genealogical and Biographical Society – This site includes early American newspapers, as well as resources with a New York focus, such as cemetery records, books, and religious records.
  • ProQuest's African American Heritage is a groundbreaking digital resource exclusively devoted to African American family history research.  This collection was created in partnership with leading African American genealogists and recognized leaders in genealogical information to develop a comprehensive mix of resources, records and tools specifically pertaining to African Americans.
